To understand the competition, Chase performed a competitive audit of primary competitors. Sephora, Ulta, and Boots were among the retailers studied. The strengths and weaknesses of each were reviewed and in-depth research was done to better understand what makes these companies successful. CVS/pharmacy’s concept was plotted to assess it’s relative brand position.
